What "Clear to Close" Actually Means
The industry calls this step "Clear to Close."
Clear to close means the lender has finished checking everything and there's nothing left standing between you and owning the home. It's the finish line.
From here, you'll get a closing disclosure (a final breakdown of your costs), do a final walkthrough if you're buying, and sign. The same team that took your first call is still the one getting you to the closing table.
